Kadmat
Kadmat is a narrow island where the relationship between lagoon and shore shapes the visitor experience. The western lagoon and the beaches near the southern end are highlighted by the Lakshadweep administration. A visit is best organised around these natural settings, with marine activities treated as separately confirmed experiences rather than automatic inclusions.
Discover Kadmat
The island also has a narrower lagoon on the eastern side, illustrating how different its two coastlines can be. This does not mean that all shores are equally suitable for swimming or landing. Choose established visitor areas and rely on current local guidance about conditions, equipment and the permitted limits of an outing.
Places to explore
Kadmat western lagoon
The shallow lagoon on the west is a principal feature of the island and a setting for properly arranged water activities.
Southern beaches and sandbanks
The sandy southern end provides another scenic focus, to be approached only through permitted and safe visitor access.

- Suggested sequence: begin with an orientation to the authorised beach and lagoon areas.
- Choose one supervised water activity rather than attempting an unconfirmed circuit around the island.
Planning your visit
- Secure the required entry permission and confirm the island transfer and stay before travelling.
- Follow local marine-safety instructions and avoid touching coral or disturbing the lagoon habitat.
