Chandauli

Chandauli’s natural attractions include Rajdari and Devdari waterfalls within the Chandraprabha forest landscape. This is a district excursion rather than a town-centre walk. The most useful plan prioritises safe viewpoints, daylight travel and current access information instead of assuming the waterfalls can be visited under identical conditions throughout the year.

Discover Chandauli

The two cascades are often considered together, but their approaches and viewpoints should still be checked separately. The district also lists reservoirs and the Latifshah area as other landscape interests. Avoid expanding a waterfall outing into an overfull circuit: weather, path condition and the group’s mobility should determine how much is sensible.

Places to explore

  • Rajdari Waterfall

A principal cascade in the Chandraprabha landscape, best appreciated from designated viewing areas rather than unprotected rock edges.

  • Devdari Waterfall

The companion waterfall provides a second natural focus, subject to its own current access and path conditions.

Suggested sightseeing plan

Use this as a starting point. Adjust the sequence to your interests, access arrangements and local conditions.

  1. Suggested sequence: visit one waterfall viewpoint first and assess the group’s comfort and conditions.
  2. Suggested extension: add the second cascade only if the route is open and there is sufficient daylight for the return.

Planning your visit

  • Check forest-area access and recent rainfall before travelling to the waterfalls.
  • Do not assume pools or flowing sections are safe for swimming.
