Shantiniketan
Shantiniketan, inscribed by UNESCO as Santiniketan, developed around Rabindranath Tagore’s ideas about education, art and learning in relation to nature. It remains a cultural landscape with an institutional life, not simply isolated monuments. A thoughtful visit follows the educational story while respecting spaces still used by students and residents.
Discover Shantiniketan
UNESCO highlights the residential school founded in 1901 and the later Visva-Bharati university. Its documentation includes Santiniketan Griha, Upasana Mandir and Chatimtala. Approach these as connected parts of an educational vision, leaving time to understand their relationships rather than collecting a hurried set of photographs.
